"Little by little a little becomes A LOT."

Serving as a Peace Corps Volunteer in The Gambia in West Africa turned me into an environmental steward. Every day I saw exactly where my trash went. I could bury it in the ground, throw it down my pit latrine, or burn it. The two years I spent in that rural village changed my life forever. I now think about what I use and why I use it. I have become a conscious consumer. I am not a zero waste professional, however each day I take small steps to protect our environment. The list below is the "little" effort I put forth. Perhaps if we all take small steps it can turn into "A LOT."
